March 4 – 6
Sometimes the simplest crafts can be the most fun. Put a metal nut into a balloon, blow it up, spin it around, and BUZZZZ! Spin faster for higher frequencies and a higher buzz, or slow down for a lower sound – there is actually a ton of cool science going on with this easy little activity.
March 7 & 8
As long as we’re playing with balloons, let’s give this a try: can you design the ultimate fighting balloon? Will your creation knock out the competition and soar victorious over the Wind Tubes in the Transportation Discovery Centre?
March 9 & 10
“Flat Man and Ribbon” Racers
This guy’s having a rough day – but it’s fun to watch! Race your tumbling toy down the track, and learn the simple secret that makes this cool little gravitational experiment work.
March 11 & 12
The Amazing Drop Stopper
It seems to defy gravity, but it’s actually following the rules perfectly – that’s why it works so well! The way it works is surprisingly simple, once you understand. Come make your own, take it home, and amaze your friends!
All March Break
In keeping with our “In the Money” travelling exhibit, and in celebration of Canada’s favorite winter sport, come join our miniature version of the NHL – the Nickle Hockey League! This is a terrific little game that’ll keep you entertained when your smartphone’s batteries quit.

Space to Spoon
Presented by the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum
What does a satellite orbiting 798 km from Earth have to do with the food on our plate? Space to Spoon demonstrates how Space technology benefits Canadian farmers and sustainable agriculture. It also highlights the Canadian Space Agency’s Earth observation satellite, RADARSAT-2, and its cutting-edge successor, RADARSAT Constellation.
Resurgo Place hosts a collection of artifacts and photographs recounting the region’s history. Many of these objects are part of the Museum’s permanent collection. This exhibit relates Moncton’s history from the time of the Mi’kmaqs to today. There are treasures to discover from the period preceding the Deportation of Acadians, the time when agriculture was Moncton’s primary economic engine, the golden shipbuilding years and the railway era.
